Tomasz Tunguz spends a lot of time thinking about Software as a Service companies (more commonly known as SaaS companies). Tunguz is obsessed with understanding how every component of a business can be pivotal to its success--areas like HR, marketing, or sales. In this episode, we talk to Tomasz about how the Business Model Canvas helps his work as a VC to plot out the business models of potential investment opportunities. It’s a unique way to evaluate a business during a pitch meeting and visualize the strengths and weaknesses of a company. Tunguz also shares his unique insights on the shift of sales and marketing teams within software companies.
