Spark is a simple, self-guided innovation kit built for business teams who want to collaborate to de-risk business ideas. Spark uses a proven methodology to deliver a structured process to help you determine the best ideas in which to invest.

Have you (or your team) ever had an amazing business idea, but you were afraid to invest in something uncertain? Or have you felt that you wanted to improve on your current product or business model and you just didn’t know where to start? Maybe you think innovation is just too expensive or time consuming?

Innovation sure can be challenging, but with the right tools and the right process, teams can have the confidence to successfully validate any business idea.

This is why we created Spark.

Spark is an easy-to-use, self-guided innovation kit that is designed to help you explore entrepreneurial ideas, systematically take your idea to the next level and develop and practice start-up skills. Spark uses the iterative process of the Design-Test-Repeat cycle to adapt your course of action based on evidence.

Most teams start out with a failed idea, but this high failure rate is not a bug, it’s a feature of the innovation process. Teams learn early on to not fall in love with their ideas and rigorously weed out bad ideas through evidence-based experimentation.

Spark is tools and knowledge applied in practice. Teams learn the methodology online and immediately apply their knowledge to de-risk their business idea, using Strategyzer tools and software.

So, How Does Spark Work?

Spark guides you and your team through a proven innovation process to assess new business opportunities in a collaborative manner.

Phase 1: Prepare
You’ll begin by identifying resources, objectives and risks around your project and aligning your team.

Phase 2: Design
You’ll use Strategyzer tools including the Business Model Canvas and Value Proposition Canvas to prepare a design brief, identify opportunities, brainstorm new ideas and create early prototypes.

Phase 3: Test
You’ll de-risk your idea using Strategyzer’s evidence-based testing process: extract hypotheses underlying your idea, design experiments, test them in the field and analyze results, gain insights and make data-driven decisions.

Phase 4: Present
You’ll learn how to present the evidence you have collected to support your next course of action whether that is to kill the project, pursue it further, pivot or ask for funding.

If you are interested in evolving your ideas through testing or are motivated to learn the practice of innovation, Spark is for you and your team.
